This is a martial arts hall used for training in karate, kendo, and other martial arts. The hall also exhibits armor, weapons, and materials related to martial arts, and is a place where one can contemplate the essence of martial arts in a solemn atmosphere.
Budozyo
Kyudozyo
The moment you draw the bow and release the arrow in the silence, your mind will be clear. Experience your mind and body becoming one in the newly built Kyudojo of Meihodo.
One of the largest taiko drums is open to the public. Because drums this large are rarely played, this is a rare experience unique to Meihodo. The plaza in front of the taiko hall also serves as a stage when concerts are held.
Taikohiroba
This tea room has a wabi-sabi atmosphere. It is a space where you can make tea in a quiet atmosphere and take a breather. An open garden spreads out in front of the building, and test cutting and Zen meditation experiences are also held here.
Seirensya
Stepping into his own residence in the center of Ming Feng Hall is a journey through history. The space is like a living museum, with a collection of Buddhist statues from all over Asia and a room that is a recreation of the study of a Chinese literary figure. Take time to sip a cup of tea while contemplating the way of life of our ancestors.
Jitei
Formerly used as the dojo of Naruhodo, this facility now offers calligraphy, bonseki, and other hands-on activities. Surrounded by greenery, you can naturally focus on what is in front of you. It is also ideal for holding meetings, seminars, yoga classes, etc.
Jyujyutudou
This waterfall site was created by taking advantage of the terrain created by the volcanoes of Aso. It is one of the most sacred places in Meihodo, where one can contemplate the power of nature and sharpen one's mind by being struck by the waterfall.
Taki
This is a high platform from which you can view the entire Meiho-do. Taiko drums have been installed to echo the sound to the mountains in the distance. It is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of tea or a leisurely breakfast while admiring the magnificent view.
Korou
Standing on top of a Jomon-era ruin, the hall features a hexagonal structure made of logs. Inside, a Buddha statue is enshrined and visitors can pay their respects. It is a place where visitors can connect with an ancient spiritual tradition.
Rokkakudo
It is a cozy space to spend your own time with a playful spirit. You may paint a picture, read a book leisurely, or meditate while watching the moon reflected in the water.
Sanmaido
The space was designed with reference to the structure of Nepalese temples. The cool air and quietness of the space, isolated from the outside world, will allow you to enter into deep meditation. The sounds made by musical instruments and voices will spread throughout the space, creating a mystical atmosphere.
